Welcome to Deposit Defenders! We’re here to help renters protect their deposits with trustworthy, time-stamped rental inspections and ongoing support. By using our services, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. Please read them carefully.
Terms & Conditions
1. Services Offered
Deposit Defenders offers:
In-person rental inspections with detailed photo/video documentation
A cloud-stored condition report with renter access
An optional $5/month subscription (Deposit Defender+™) that includes renter-focused tools, guidance, and document review support
We do not offer services to landlords, and we do not provide legal advice.
2. Pricing
In-Person Inspection: $149 (one-time)
Deposit Defender+™ Subscription: $5/month, cancel anytime
All pricing is in USD.
3. Refund Policy
We offer a full refund on your inspection fee only if we fail to document something that results in a deposit deduction. Refunds are not available for any other reason.
To request a refund, contact us at yourdepositdefenders@gmail.com within 30 days of the charge from your landlord. Include documentation of the deduction and a copy of your inspection report.
4. Ongoing Protection Subscription
The Deposit Defender+™ subscription provides:
Help reviewing landlord claims using your inspection documentation
Letter templates and communication tips
Renter tools, guides, and ongoing support
Priority help during disputes
Cancel anytime—no fees or penalties.
5. No Legal Advice
We’re renters’ biggest supporters—but not lawyers. We provide helpful tools, templates, and documentation support, but not legal representation or advice.
6. Limitation of Liability
We do our best to document your unit thoroughly, but we are not responsible for landlord decisions, legal outcomes, or charges beyond our control. Your use of our services is at your own discretion.
7. Updates to Terms
These terms may be updated over time. We'll post changes with the updated effective date. Continued use of our services means you agree to the new terms.
